| About the SFAMA Collegiate
Excellence Awards
Each year the SFAMA is pleased to recognize three students for outstanding
contributions to the evaluation of the Excellence in Marketing Award nominees.
The competition is also administrated by student leaders
with the three SFAMA collegiate chapters (The University of San Francisco
(USF), San Francisco State Universality (SFSU), and Golden Gate University
(GGU).
Submission Guidelines
Students may “enter” this competition by choosing from our
list of nominated companies and preparing a report evaluating the company’s
nomination. Other guidelines include:
• The SFAMA will accept no more than one entry per student.
• Participation will be limited to 10 entries per school
• All entries must be received by March 15
• Submissions will only be accepted from students with the pre-approved
schools (USF, SFSU, GGU)
Research guidelines
All entries will be limited to three-pages of double-spaced, essay-style
research papers. Graphics are permitted but are in additional to the required
two pages. The SFAMA will accept only one report for each nominee and
will provides the guidelines for analysis.
Source guidelines
Participating students may use any public source available for the research
paper.
All submissions must include an interview, via phone or in-person with
at least one representative of the nominated company.
Entry Evaluation:
Entries will be judged by 20 Bay Area business and marketing professionals
including the SFAMA Board of Directors.
Presenting the Collegiate Excellence Awards:
Grants will be awarded at the EIMA Celebration on April 19th. Winning
participants will attend the EIMA Celebration at no charge to the student.
Students do not need to be present to receive the award.All entrants will
be recognized in the EIMA revolving presentation during the event dinner,
on the SFAMA Web site, and the SFAMA newsletter.

- Best Research Paper(1)
- Runners-Up (2)
