about EIMA | selection process | nominations | collegiate excellence

The Process - selection, research, and voting on the Excellence in Marketing Awards:

After nomination, the EIMA committee evaluates nominations on the quality of information supporting the nominee’s candidacy.

During the research stage, students competing in the Collegiate Excellence Award will research each of the nominees and their performance on the following attributes:

Challenge: Challenges faced by the nominee originating with either original company/project goals or forces in the marketplace.

Tactics: Innovative or appropriate tactics - relative to the specific marketing problem/product and to the category. Consistency of business and marketing planning, effective use of marketing research, marketing communications.

Creativity: Creation of inspiring, original ideas to accomplish the challenges faced.

Execution: How well did the nominee implement its tactics and plans for meeting the challenges of the day. Results matter.

Upon completion of the nominee research stage ballots will be prepared and candidates will be evaluated by the EIMA voting committee including SFAMA Board of Directors, the EIMA Committee, and Officers from other AMA chapters.
